Book Review: Will They or Won’t They

I love a good Hollywood romance, and Ava Wilder does a great job with them. HOW TO FAKE IT IN HOLLYWOOD, her debut, was probably one of my top reads from 2022. And now she’s back with a new one – WILL THEY OR WON’T THEY. This is the ultimate lovers to enemies to lovers, and it is so much fun!

Lilah Hunter and Shane McCarthy meet at an audition for a paranormal tv show before either of them are household names. After co-starring together for 5 years, Lilah leaves the show hoping to become a bigger star. When that doesn’t happen, she agrees to return for the 9th and final season, something no one on set is looking forward to, especially Shane.

Shane is one of the main reasons Lilah left the show to begin with. After their secret relationship ended in season one, the two have hated each other and the set was a nightmare.

Now their careers and the show is on line, and all eyes are on them. With their characters finally getting together on screen, Lilah and Shane have to work closer than ever together, which is bringing back old feelings from season 1.

This book was SO MUCH FUN. Like I said, I love celebrity romances, and I pictured their show as a CW type show – Vampire Diaries (which I’ve actually never seen) or something like that. I loved Lilah and Shane so much, and their chemistry was just off the charts. There’s a photoshoot early on… look I’m not going to get into it, but just … it’s great, okay?
