Announcing – RomTalk!

I’m really excited about this little announcement! Thirsty Thursdays just got a LOT thirstier!

It started with a tweet by my friend Hailey, and after a flurry of DMs, RomTalk was born!

We wanted a Twitter chat for all romance writers, so we could hang out, talk about what we love and connect. So our first chat will be Thursday, February 10th (that’s tomorrow). We’ll have chats every other Thursday, and Hailey and I will alternate who hosts, and Hailey will be hosting the first one (so make sure you follow her @byhaileyharlow and me too @nikkihodum). We’ll be using #romtalk during the chat so follow that too. All romance subgenres welcome.

There will be 5 questions, and the chat will go all night / into the next day so anyone who wants to participate can no matter the timezone, work, kids, whatever.

We have some fun things planned, like maybe some CP/ beta matching, pitch contest practice, book chat. If you have any suggestions or things you want to see, make sure to let us know!

I am strongly recommending you get your mood boards and WIP blurbs ready!

So we hope you’ll join us for this new project. I think it will be really fun!

One of the big pieces of advice for writing is find your community. Make writing friends. Get to know other writers. The truth is I didn’t for a very long time. In fact, a year ago, I didn’t really have any writing friends. I was on Twitter, but mostly a lurker. It felt like everyone…
