Book Review: Partner Track

If you are looking for a book that manages to get only one bed to occur within the first few chapters, have I got the book for you. It’s also got rivals to lovers, workplace romance, a snowstorm, older woman / younger man, and great female friendship.

Interested? Let me tell you about Cat Wynn’s debut PARTNER TRACK.

Perdie Stone is desperate to make partner at her law firm, and winning a case against big shot attorney Carter Leplan is her ticket to the promotion. When their flights are canceled due to weather, Perdie and Carter end up spending the night together in the only hotel room left and there’s only one bed.

Thinking she’ll never see her one night stand again, Perdie returns home believing she’s a shoe in for partner. That is until Carter shows up in Charleston and is named partner at her firm instead of her. Carter’s appearance turns Perdie’s life upside down in more ways than one. Not only is he determined to help her make partner, he also wants to make Perdie change her mind about not wanting a relationship.

This was such a fun read! And MAN IS IT STEAMY. Perdie is feisty and independent. She’s also a little on the prickly side, but I definitely consider that a plus. Carter is handsome and successful, and he isn’t afraid to tell Perdie exactly how he feels. And while there is plenty of misogyny in this (law firm in the South … unfortunately that is the case a lot), Carter fully supports Perdie in any way he can, especially when it comes to her job.

(TW: there is a death of an older pet in this, just FYI).

PARTNER TRACK comes out tomorrow, so grab a copy!
